Plastic in UPVC Windows

Most water filters also are plastic as well as UPVC doors. Also, nobody asked the question, “Well, what’s leaching out of the filters into the water line?”

I’d like you to think about the vehicle environment. It’s kind of interesting. I use the phrase that people are spending, in the United States, about 90% of their time indoors. Well, it’s about 87% of their time indoors, and about 3% to 4% of their time within vehicles.

Think about the interior cabins of, on the upper left here, a new vehicle. This probably has maybe a couple of dozen different polymers in it, ranging from the TV screen and all of its components, down through the plastic steering wheel, the plastic dashboard, the plastic console between the seats. Different kinds of plastics in the seat, itself, including the polyurethane foam inside the seat as well as in UPVC Doors, almost none of which are recyclable.
